We found out first egg today in the middle of our large portable pen! Is there anyway to tell which of our young hens layed it? Its probably either one of the Bovan Browns or our brown leghorn/easter egger cross. Both have combs and waddles that are larger and redder than the rest of the flock
The egg is small.

The farmer that gave me the easter egger/ brown leghorn cross(her name is April and the only chick we hatched ourselves) egg that April hatched from said it is most likely from her as she gets the same light brown pinkish eggs from her crosses. The Bovans lay dark brown eggs and our Buff orpingtons and barred rocks just turned 16 weeks and don't look full grown yet. They still have small light pink waddles and combs. I will be watching g April closely to see if I can catch her in the act and update.
