Our FIRST egg!!!!!

Just when I wanted to give up, I found out first egg!! Question though. EVERYTHING I've researched says New Hampshire Reds lay very large eggs... Is it normal for the first to be so small?

Our first eggs were small but are gradually getting larger. We have Rhode Island Reds.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! Yes it is normal for the first few eggs to be small. I have found that within a month they are laying normal sized eggs.

Got my first egg today.....actually my 27 week old Amberlink did it. Small but pretty. She's been rehearsing the egg song for over a week!
