Our first eggs today!!

Our 8 pullets are 15 weeks old and we found 2 perfect eggs in one of the nesting boxes. I decided to look just for the heck of it, knowing it’s early, so was very surprised. When we cracked them open, each egg had two perfect, small yolks. We don’t know which girl(s) laid the eggs, but they contributed to a yummy cake

If they don't have chickens, most people don't understand how exciting it is when your hen does something perfectly normal and expected -- like laying an egg. But it is thrilling, isn't it?

I was shocked at my first egg!
One of my (24 week old) hens was acting weird; being loud and kept on returing to the coop. So I decided to take a peek in the nesting box and there was a beautiful egg! I was so happy!
