    Oh yes, lots of eggs... We started chickening in march, as of the new calander year we are just over 700 (we write the new egg total on the calendar everyday) ... Of course that is counting eggs from a couple of chickens we lost to free range predators

    I would name your barred rocks the same name. I call both of mine Barbara. It's just fun to say Barbara the Barred Rock. Try saying that 3 times fast!

    Lol, not a bad idea... Wish this wasnt michigan, i want a turken but i dont think they'd handle the cold very well

    Turkens are cold hardy. We have terribly cold weather, and ours are doing fabulous! Still laying and everything :D

    Thats awesome... No frostbite on any of that exposed skin??

    Oh no. I keep NN turkens that have pea combs so less chance of frost bite there. The skin is not a worry at all.
