    I was wearing this t shirt and I told my 11 year old granddaughter, "now this chick on here can be taken two ways...what do you think this chick is?"

    Without missing a beat, she blurts out, "Buff Orpington"!!!

    Is this a BYC'er Grandkid or what?

    My daughter would call it a fuzz ball. That's what she calls all newborn chicks.

    My daughter thinks all yellow chicks are Buff Oppin-tons (long O) That's how she says it!

    You are right on about being sponges. This kid knows all of the breeds in my signature. She has learned them and is really interested in their behaviour as am I.

    She wants to be a Vet someday, and we all think she has what it takes (straight A's so far) to do it.
