Over eager - grinning anyway! (They're all here!)

All the talk of candling made me crazy sooo. First I went to the fridge and took out three eggs and candled them with the best flashlight I have. Okay, that's strange to see all those pores and the way the light goes through.

Now I'm staring at a bator with blue eggs I just put in there. Hmmmm. They were laid last week. Why not?

Well they're not wiggling yet but they are also NOT clear! And no bacterial ring! You can see where they are even if I can't see developed veining yet. I think the darker shell is going to make that harder to see. But this LED flashlight works good in a dark room. YAY.

Okay, yeah, I'm excited...

Its the neatest thing, isn't it? Hope your eggs arrive today. They ought to, but I've sent a Priority pkg IN STATE that took 3 days to arrive.

I hope so TOO!!! Of course it's pouring rain. Figures. The blue eggs look soooo lonely in the bator all by themselves. With any luck yours and the turkey eggs will be here today.

This whole thing is exciting and an exercise in more patience than I generally ever have!

I keep telling myself, if the turkeys don't hatch I have a second chicken coop mostly built.

No sign of addiction here. None. Nope.

They're all here! Yay! The eggs from Cynthia were so well wrapped in bubble wrap I'm thinking of investing in the company that makes it! I love having the names of the hens that laid them on there as well.

Though not nearly so well wrapped the turkey eggs also made it.

Now they rest and this evening we get under way for real. Now I need real luck.

The lady with the tandem addiction to bubble wrap would be speckledhen aka Cynthia. I just took out the loads of bubble wrap to the garbage and chuckled the whole way. I could insulate the well house with it.

They're going in... we're on our way...
