I have brooded ducklings and chicks on my screened in porch multiple times. I have never had any issues. This summer I have a pair of pigeons on the porch in a secure cage until I get their loft finished. Tonight a Great Horned Owl busted through the screen! The dog barked and it was discovered quickly. No chicks or ducklings were injured. Do you think the pigeons being there make the porch more attractive? Never had any issues before. Should I keep the porch light on? I am thinking it saw the pigeons and because of the light didn’t know it was about to bust through a screen and be stuck on a porch…
