    Hello BYC,
I recently had an oyster roast, and I have a whole trash can full of empty oyster shells; does anyone know a recipe on how to make ground oyster shells for chickens? [IMG]

I've never done it myself so I did some googling for you. Apparently its really easy.

    1. Boil the oyster shells to kill bacteria
    2. Afterwards put them in a Ziploc bag and seal it. You want them laying flat in the bag.
    3. Then cover with a towel so your not busting holes in the bag
    4. Then crush with a hammer until it reaches the consistency you desire.

    Then your done! Pretty easy.
