We're new to this fancy feathered scene and are total over analyzers. My husband is definitely handy enough to build but the time was not in our favor ... so we decided to have something built. AND IT SHOULD BE HERE TOMORROW!!! I'm so excited for my girls!

There are 16 girls (hopefully) and they're 4 weeks old. So they are quickly outgrowing the brooder. We also have 2 pekin ducklings (have a couple more on order.. not pekin) Looking for advice on retrofitting our play coop to a duck house... any advice is definitely encouraged and welcomed!

I'll post pictures. Theres a picture of the poured pad. The common run is the large grass (ish for now) area.. and the duck house will be butted up to the common run with a door. The concrete wasnt poured properly by the ducks so there is more there than we wanted. We're debating what to do with that for the ducks. The coop pictured was supposed to be a chicken tractor that we picked up in case we needed it between the brooder and the finished product.. this is what we're going to retrofit for the ducks

Sorry for the rambling and I hope it makes sense!!

Odd that the run is in the center of the concrete pad.
Looking forward to seeing more as you progress.

Might want a separate thread in the duck forum for advise on duck housing.
