My chickens are going to have a room in the barn, and obviously the barn is wood. I have seen a lot of concern about mites and wood. Should I paint or seal the walls on the chicken room?

Painted wood is easier to clean than bare wood. Paint also fills some of the small fissures in the wood, eliminating some hiding places for pests.

I used Sherwin Williams. I heard Ber Ultra also very good. It best to use gloss or semi-gloss.
