How many people on here painted the inside of the coop? What did you use to paint it? Can I just white wash it?

Should I focus on non toxic paints?

A lot of people white-wash it with DE and water mix-some had posted the mix ratio on here but cant locate it at the moment. I painted my outside with "fence paint" I got at Lowes. It is oil based and NON-Toxic - It worked pretty good!

    Thank you!

  4. W used pine and plywood to make our coop - I Bear Spar Varnished everything - roughly 3 coats. I had it dry a week before we got our little darlings.

I am using exterior latex on the inside and out.. I wanted something that would be washable. I think as long as the paint is dry and it has had enough time that the fumes are not in there it should be safe...Dixie
