Pardon my terminology. I'm a newbie chicken owner. I have a 12 month old hen that was laying and has recently stopped. I noticed about three days ago that her comb was pale and she just looked punk. I added some vitamin and electrolyte supplements to her water. Today when I picked her up she has lost significant muscle mass around her breastbone. I'm going to isolate her from the flock and deworm but beyond that I don't know what to do. I have an appointment for monday with the vet. Any suggestions are appreciated.
