My Andalusian hens comb recently like in the last 24 hours went rather pale . She is close to laying I assumed based on age and for the last week her comb went really really red . Trying to think if anything has been reg a stress for her but I haven't come up with much otherwise she seems healthy . No one is picking at her although once in a while my roo chases her around because he wants to do his business with her but nothing out of the ordinary . Yesterday I cleaned out the coop , weather has been changing a bit from extreme dry 115 heat a couple weeks ago to now 92 with 50% humidity .
Oh yesterday she did land herself accidentally in my strawberry garden that was pretty stressful for her and my roo he freaked out as bad as her on the other side of the fence as I recall now could that have been it ? She gets plenty of fresh water , good variety of feed along with fresh veggies ...I want to make sure I address this correctly I'd hate to lose my crazy little Diane :S

Well I went to go get pics and inspect Diane for some good pics and check my other chickens & no one else has pale Combs but there are a couple others with black spots on their comb :S

I've been researching the pale combs for mine as well. It seems that they can go pale during molting, if they are vitamin deficient, if they are not getting regular sunshine as well as some diseases. I've been giving mine Cod Liver Oil mixed into her feed because it has been overcast for weeks. I made sure she is out foraging every day now and she seems a bit better and began laying eggs again.

I did find this info:https://www.merckvetmanual.com/poultry/fowlpox/fowlpox-in-chickens-and-turkeys
