So my chickens are molting and I noticed one of my girls had a very pale comb...is this normal when they molt? She's totally fine and herself. I'm getting nervous!!

Perfectly normal. My Speckled Sussex is thru her molt & her comb is just starting to red'n up again. My poor Barnvelders are just starting their molt & look pathetically pale & scruffy.

Oh good! Thanks! I've read that when they have pale combs that they're sick! Hoping that wasn't the case [IMG]

A chicken during the molt is sick. Molting makes them feverish as well as sore, just like my Arthur pain and old injuries make's me ill tempered when the weather changes.
