palm or BBW?

I bought two turkeys about a month ago. Supposed to be blue slate and BBW. Blue slate is a pale blue gray color. BBW is developing a band of black feathers across middle of its tail and has a few black feathers sprinkled across its back. So now I'm wondering, is this a BBW? Do BBWs ever get any black feathering? It is just a smidge bigger than the slate, and I might have expected it to be much bigger by now if it was a BBW. They are about 9-10 wks old. I've come to terms with the fact that they won't be ready for thxgiving, but now i think i've gotten a lawn ornament!!lol

The black back sure could be royal palm. Hard to tell without pics. It is certainly not unheard of for a hatchery to ship the wrong kind of bird.

The BBW should be solid white. Sounds like you have Royal Palm.

thanks for the opinions! trying to figure out how to post pics. white one had LOTS of speckling on its back and a pretty black band all the way across the middle of its tail. shoot. really wanted turkey THIS thanksgiving. lol. maybe can trade for BBW on craigs list....
