Years ago I was given a Pampered Chef Stoneware Roaster. It has a round base ( thats not very deep) and a round cover....I have never used it....I was wondering if anyone has used one for cooking a chicken or Roast?....Could you tell me how you did it?Is there different cooking times ?heat?.....I have pampered Chef stoneware that I use all the time ...but dont have one clue on how to use that roaster...Merci

I use my wifes' roaster like that all the time but I don't use the cover and I roast it the same as in any other pan.

    Thanks for repying
So would you just prepare the chicken and just place it in the pan and cover it .Would you add veggies etc?....I am so use to cooking a chicken with some liquid and some veggies and covering it ....Wondering what Temperature you put the chicken in at ?

i no longer have my roaster because our home burned to the ground during hurricane gustave but i have always cooked it at the same temps and put the same ingredients as if i were using any other pan

let me just say the chicken has always came out more juicy and tender in the pampered chef roaster than it ever did in a reg pan
but i had the cranberry red roaster that came with a lid already i wish i could get this back it was awsome...

might have to ask santa if he could buy me another one

yeah well canada is a bit too far for me

as far as our home we took it quite well i guess you could say
when we saw the video of the house burning we were quite thankful we were in mississippi when it happened because it caught and burned to the ground so fast we would never have excaped it...thats when you realize it was just stuff and it could all be replaced but you and your kids cant be
in two hrs it was smoldering on the ground with not even one piece of wood left to it and we only saved about 5 things from the back of the shed and in the far corner of the yard we even lost our chickens and rabbits but on a lighter note we have a new home and we and are doing great our three kids are much happier in this home than our old one we had 5 ppl crampped up in a 1100 sqft 2 bed one bath home

but i think you should try the roaster
put a chicken in it season it up put onions and potatoes and carrots around it if it will fit cover and bake for about 1 1/2 hrs on 350 and it will be great

I use the Pampered Chef stoneware pans just the same as any other pan. The only difference is in cleaning the pan -- never use soap. Just very hot water will do. Good luck!
