25 RIR pullets and a straight run of 8 americauna are on their way.

I've got two waterers, two good sized boxes to use as brooders, two heat lamps, two food dishes, some 'gro-gel', a bag of starter ration, some bedding, some treats, a nice safe spot by a south-facing window, and a two year old all excited about the 'peeps'.

    what am I missing?

I mean, other than my mind.

A nice comfy chair by the brooder, cuz you'll be spending A LOT of time there! [IMG]

ETA: A thermometer to check the temp in the brooder.

Got the thermometer, the comfy spot is over by the couch, and I haven't dusted in like a week, so that should take care of the grit [IMG]

Make sure you have your camera ready. I don't know how high your brooder box is but you might need a screened top. They can fly at a young age of 3 weeks. I foound 1 on my table the first time I had chicks. She might have been 4 weeks old, my brooder box was about 24" high.
