Partridge Cochin??

    We got this female in a batch of males free for buying feed. Out of the 5 males 3 were females! Someone was over the other day and said she's a partridge cochin. Do you agree? She's full sized and one of the biggest birds we have. Thanks for you help! We'd like a few more of this type.

    I second that. We use to raise partridge cochins and they are the sweetest things. She's a very pretty bird.

    Tersa looks like an Ideal red cochin to me I had 6 just like her that I ordered to be red but they grew out with the black markings as well Either way she is pretty, I just love cochins I have a big blue hen named Doodle who is just a love she purrs when you pick her up and you can even jpick her up when shes broody and live o tell about it lol. heres an early pic of her shes much heavier now as she just turned 2

    Partridge cochin hen. It's a nice color since the males have different coloring than the females.

    We have some too and they are so nice and pretty.

    Your girl has some good type on her too.
