Partridge rock roo turned mean

My partridge rock roo was nice ( except when it came to my dominate hen ). Now he attacks everytime you come near the pen. He will even chase you out of the pen. My DH is talking about making dinner out of him! What do I do?

Try separating him from his hens for a while, once he has only you he might turn into a good bird again and you can give him his hens back

Spring (matting season) for us is end Febuary March because of weather! sometimes Roos get more protective during that time!

That said I would also make dinner out of a Roo that didn't want me in coop!
