I'm not sure. I just got her from a friend whose hens were attacking her. My other silkie started fighting her. She is hiding from them now, they leave eachother alone but she is keeping away from them. I just know she's not an adult. I thought maybe my silkie was fighting her because it was a young roo. I dunno.

Just for reference the second picture is useless for sexing.

Judging by the first pic, it appears to be a Hen. Another pic of the comb and maybe the overall bird may help. Your pics are not the easiest to make out since they are so close up.

However as we always state, Silkies cannot be sexed until they are near 6 months of age, so if he/she is still rather young, then there is really no telling...

How about sleeping arrangements? There are my original 5 hens, and the new one along with this new Silkie. The New Hen is sleeping in the coop at night along with my other hens while the silkie is sleeping alone in a little dog house...what does that mean? And the feathers are longer than in that picture...they stream out...

Oh good...I only have the two silkies, and various other breeds and I'm new at this. Thanks.
