Partridge Wyandotte Color?

This is a male that i got from a breeder. He seems to be very dark in color compared to alot of pictures and other birds that I have seen. Can anyone please give me any info as to if he is to dark or if he is not a pure breed.

He is one very dark partridge or he's a Black with a dark red leakage on the wings and hackles.

Hmmmm.... never seen one that dark. All of ours grow out with the same general color.

When I saw pictures of his parents from the breeder they didnt look this dark either. He is almost 7 months old. Do you think he might get lighter with time? I think he has good type but his color seems off. Time will tell I am showing him next week at a show. The pullets that I have from same breeder have good color and lacing.
