In my wildest dreams did I ever believe I would wake up all during the night waiting for eggs to hatch. What was suppose to be a adventure for grandaughter turn the tables on me. I sat 42 eggs 23 days ago and sunday was afraid nothing was going to happen. Before I went to bed night before last I heard chirping so I decided to wait a few more days. Last night I saw the little beak working away. This morning I am proud mama of two beautiful little balls of white fluffy bantam chicks. I can't wait for Tootiebell to get home from school. Two chicks out of 42 eggs not good odds but as soon as these come out I am going to try again. I think all the different weather changes caused my problem. One day below freezing and next day in 70's and hard to keep the temp consistant in incubator. Oh well!! I am a first time mama chick of twins!!!
