I know she is a Cochin bantam but I'm not sure what kind..? I'm quite sure she is a silver pencil but there is more white than usual.. thoughts?

Yes! She is from Meyer Hatchery (LeAnn's Grab Bag).. so online hatcheries have some sort of relation towards the amount of white on her?

Aww! I used to have a silver laced cochin bantam hen, I miss her dearly. She died a few months ago, her name was Chocolate (because when they're chicks they're brownish coloured? y'know?) haha but Smudgie is adorable!

Yes, in most pics of the breed you want will be a pretty good quality of the bird, JUST the one bird. So but as @21hens-incharge said most hatcheries just care about selling their birds, So most the their layers arent as good quality as you see in the pics

They still make great pets though.
I adore my goofy Smudgie.....and all my other not true to type birds.(that would be all but maybe 2).
