Pea Pods

Okay, I love the treat chart, but I have a question about peas. I am shelling peas right now, and I have a pile of great looking pods. I have always thought this was somewhat wasteful and was glad I would be able to give them to the chickens this year. However, I don't see anything about pods nor do I see anything about the plants. It is getting too hot for peas so I was planning to pull them up this weekend and give them to the chickens. Does anyone know if this is a safe thing to do?

Oh, I think it's fine to give them. My hens have munched on pea plants, when they can.
