Hi new member here. been keeping peafowl for a couple of years and love it. Hatched our first chicks this year only managed to hatch 2 out of four eggs. One chick sadly died it was no great surprise as it never seemed healthy. The other seems to be doing great. Other than having an upset stomach (I've tried to attach a pic). Its diohria very wet and quite smelly, thankfully it's not all the time but still enough for me to notice. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem/solution could be? Many thanks in advance

Thank you, Just over three weeks. To be honest I have no idea of weight. We've learnt alot from doing this for the first time, theres alot we would do differently. We are feeding the chick high protein quail starter crumb with added cockistat. The chick seems very well other than the upset stomach

What 'cockistat' are you adding to the crumble? Chicks are not immune to cocci just because we feed medicated chick starter, cocci is everywhere and can be transmitted on you and your clothing. Being 'off the ground' is no guarantee they will not get cocci.

Thanks for the replies I have some scales somewhere. Will let you know the results. As for the cocci it's already added into the feed being Massey game and poultry starter crumb
