This has to be the best theme for names I’ve seen yet. I don’t want to fill up all the eggs so here’s a few for inspiration for other people to jump in:

  • Staple That Refuses To Be Removed Correctly
  • Hangnail
  • Dead Battery In My Wireless Mouse
  • Can’t Find The End Of The Tape
  • Midnight Stubbed Toe On The Way To The Bathroom
  • Hit That Same Pothole On The Way To Work For The Millionth Time
  • This Meeting Could Have Been An Email
  • Missed A Parenthesis Somewhere In A Long Excel Formula
All brought to you by this Monday morning.

We still have lots of eggs to name :)

Day 2, and all I'm doing so far is briefly popping the incubator open and manually turning my 2 backyard mix eggs that aren't upright in their individual egg hammocks.

I plan to candle on Thursday, Day 5. I'm feeling pretty pessimistic about this batch, despite trying not to.

:celebrate Let's get settled and start growing inconvenience chicks!
:celebrate go Shopping Cart with a squeaky wheel! 🛒

More suggestions -

• Catching all the traffic lights red. 🚦
• Plastic wrap that clings to everything except what you're trying to cover.
• Forgetting what I went into this room for... ❓

I snuck a peek at a few of the eggs this morning, Day 3. My own eggs from my flock (#11 and #22) definitely have development. The other ones, I can't tell yet. My hopes aren't high

It's day 5 and I don't know about this one, y'all. 👀 my two backyard mix eggs, #11 and #22, have clear development. As for the other ones, they're a hot mess. I see the tiniest hint of veins in #6 and #20 but I can't quite tell what I'm looking at. The other ones, I just don't know

Hopefully more are developing and just hard to tell through the dark brown or olive shells. :fl

Come on minor inconvenience chicks!
Keep rolling squeaky shopping cart!

I do see some veining on some of the shipped eggs, but nothing clear enough to determine viability for sure. I'm leaving most of them in for a few more days before making a decision.

I did pull #2 and #3, both Lavender Ameraucanas, because they appeared to be clears. I cracked them open and I was right.

I added 3 more of my own barnyard mix eggs in tonight for a staggered hatch, since it seems like my rooster is doing his job well. #11 and #22, my own flock's eggs, both have viable chicks.
