I've wondered this since we moved here, and discovering this forum, I decided to ask. Has anyone ever heard of peacocks running off with another flock of birds? The peacock at the bottom of my BYC page has been around for about a year. Sometimes he comes alone, but more often than not he is feeding with a group of wild turkeys in the woods behind our home. At least once last summer I saw him fly up into a tree to roost with them. Are peacocks pretty nomadic? We hear his haunting call spring, summer, and fall, but he must go "home" in the winter since he doesn't come around then.

there was a peacock by my house that did the same thing, always seeing him at the bird feeder with turkeys.
