Plz can any one tell me that in which age pea mate
I mean breeding program ....
Indian Blue ..... Green ..... Spalding ????
Indian Blue 3 years for the male and 2 years for the female.
Dany and what about black shoulder?
7 of my hens and 1 of my male peacocks were breeding and hatching eggs well before their 3rd birthday, my male had a beautiful train and i got many off spring from him out of my 7 hens.
I had many with a spindly train but none of them mated
There were 3 peacocks here that hatched out the same batch they were called the three amigos, They fanned and fanned to each other and one day a hen came along to check them out, those darn fools got so excited to see the girl paying attention to them they started chest bumping each other with their tails fanned, it was so funny and i do believe the hen was quite amused by their sillyness . so she started fanning to.
This is how we do it, the peafowl dance
There are two types of peafowl. Green peafowl and India Blue peafowl. Those two can be crossed creating a hybrid, which is called a Spalding. The India Blue Peafowl come in five patterns: Barred Wing (typical wild type), Blackshoulder (solid wing), Pied, Silver Pied, and White Eyed. Then there are different colors of the India Blue peafowl which can come in those patterns and even be spaldings as well. Your are probably refering to India Blue Blackshoulders, so it is the same age for them as one of type of India Blue peafowl (as in any color or pattern).
Thank u so much for your nice reply
