Hello I'm wondering if these peacocks are just India blue or if they have something mixed in them? https://flint.craigslist.org/grd/5906455998.html
They are birds born in 2016 ... so they will be one year old in July 2017 ! They are India blue , but they can carry Black Shoulder or another color ... only the breeder can say!
The one pic of the single male makes me curious. If you look close at the flight feathers of the wing you see some white there. I would ask if it by chance has some white flight feathers. If so then it can be split pied or white maybe. If it just looks that way but does not have white flight feathers at all then it would be just called India blue which still means it may be split to something else but could be near impossible to find out.
The pictures in this advert do not show 2-year-old peaboys - those boys are well under one year old. If you can get more current photos of them, someone here will likely be able to give you a better guess about their color/pattern!
I agree, at 2 the feathering on the belly and neck would be more developed than what the pictures show.
Sorry not my ad, forgot to clarity. And yes @scootj79 I am looking for different pigment mutations in Michigan.
If you dont mind driving to Sault Ste. Marie I have a friend with some for sale their. Good birds. Here is his craigslist ad. https://nmi.craigslist.org/grd/5945120965.html
Wow thanks those are some very generous prices it's just a bit far away, but still I will think about it.
Yeah it is straight up I75 and he is really not far off the freeway. Maybe 5 miles and easy to get too. Very nice guy. If I had room i would take more of his birds. I am in process (winter put a damper in it lol) of putting in more pens so I can split my peas up more for breeding.
