I really hope someone can help me. I did a search and didn't find the answers to my questions.

I read that peafowl need at least 8x8x7 housing. What I need to know is about the entrance to the housing. Can they go in and out a pop door like the chickens and ducks do? How big would the door need to be? Would maybe 14 wide by 18 tall be big enough? Too small or too big???

I really need to know as soon as possible, as I am getting ready to put the doors in the building, hopefully by tomorrow, and wanted a section for the peafowl (that I don't even have yet-lol) and would need to know how big of a door they need.

Also, can they use a ramp like the chickens and ducks?

    Thanks!

Peafowl are pretty good at squeezing into things. Any opening that would fit a turkey or goose would be good. They will go up ramps and things, they are also good jumpers. I would think that a 14x18 opening would be fine. [IMG]
