I have seen guinea / peafowl hybrids, as well as guinea / chicken!

The Bird in the link above is a Bare faced Currasow (female) I knew it was too good to be true LOL

I have heard peafowl and chickens can hybridise also, has anyone seen this before? I house a pair of Malay chickens in a mixed aviary with pheasants, peafowl, ducks etc. I have noticed the rooster trying to mate the peahen! Now that would be one weird looking hybrid!

Oh my gosh! That is awesome!!! Now everyone is going to have to pen some chicken hens with some peacocks. XD That is super cool though...I wonder if such a hybrid would be less likely to get blackhead or other things like that...How awesome! Ooh can you image a laced chicken crossed with a peafowl! What I really want to see is an Ostrich x Peafowl hybrid so that I can have a big peacock that I can ride on! XD I will call them "Peacock Dragons".

I sold a guy about 30 Guinea eggs from my Peafowl/Guinea pen, so he might have a surprise, lol. And yes, I told him that is was a possibility, which really excited him. [IMG]

Interesting question about the blackhead... There's a gal on the turkey forum that has bred a blackhead resistant line of turkeys, she said it took her about five generations to get there.
