We gained a passel of peacocks when we purchased our place at the end of the year. They are currently breeding. So far the peahens had just laid and left their eggs, but one hen today was actually brooding on her eggs, in a less than ideal spot for a nest. We moved her and the eggs to a protected pen that we had seen the previous owners use earlier in the day but now she appears to want nothing to do with the eggs. She just paces by the gate and I don't think she's sat on them at all. We are worried we screwed it all up. How long can those eggs stay alive without her on them and what would you all advise?
Thanks!
