My brand new 3 month old chirp grabbed my pearl earring. A pretty big one....but not too big to swallow because right down the hatch it went. I’m on day 2 of looking and mashing pool, and with no avail have I found an earring.... what do I do?I literally just spend $$$.00 on him!! Help!

Join the club of the many, many of us that have had earrings snatched from our ears by our chicks. Back when I had my very first chicks, twelve years ago, one baby Brahma snatched a gold stud out of my ear, never to be seen again. The chick suffered no ill effects from it. In fact, she's twelve years old now.
Another "companion" event to earring snatching when you are a naive new chick keeper is being pecked in the eye by your chick. This lesson is much more painful than losing an earring. Please take measures that this second lesson is one you don't need to endure.
