Just picked up 10 chicks (hens) for my little daughter, I have one RIR hen that is constantly pecking at the others beaks, she's kind of aggressive. What can i do to stop this? does pine tar work good? any help will be greatly appriciated, thank you

Try a red heat lamp... It helps to disguise any little pecked spots. Is the RIR a lot larger than the others? Maybe she needs to be separated for a while

Try something to distract the bully... a mirror, a stuffy, maybe a branch to climb on
