pecking

    i have three newly hatched coturnix quail and they are now in the brooder they keep on pecking one another is this ok because it is the first time i have hatched quail.

    I have never hatched quail, but my chicks like to peck each others beaks/feet for the first few days of their lives!

    Your quail sound normal. Pecking is how they learn things and is quite normal behaviour. Because quail are so small it makes it all look worse than it is. Wishing you the very best of luck with them quail are great to keep.
