I have a pullet chick I've been nursing for over a week with coccidiosis. Nothing seems to get her over the hump into health. This morning I thought she was a goner as she could barely stand. I snagged some of the unflavored pedialyte we use for our elderly lizard and eye droppered it into her. She perked up slightly so I mixed her chick crumbles with more pedialyte to make a gruel and got a little down her. Several hours later she's running around her cage and appears to have eaten a bit of the gruel on her own. i filed her waterer with pedialyte.
Not sure if this means she's going to make it, but she's still got a fighting chance.
