I planted a lemon cucumber plant for the first time this year. The thing's very prolific, and I have tons of little round cucumbers

. My guys like bread and butter pickles, and I've always peeled the straight cukes for this. But, these little round things are a pain to peel. Anyone know if I need to? Is it okay to pickle them with the peel still on?

I have never had peeled pickles. They always have the skins on. In fact, my mom had an old wringer washing machine on the back porch that she washed her pickles in before canning.

Now that I've had some sleep

I realized of course most pickles have the skin still on

. I've just peeled the bread and butter ones for family preference, but I'm going with Mom preference for now. Those little buggers are a pain to peel!
