I just thought this would make for some cute pics!
"What the heck are those?!"

(No, I did NOT let them eat the Peeps! They were only in there long enough to take the pics)

Mars... I mean Central NY
My sister keeps a couple REALLY OLD Peeps on her desk at work. They are all hard. A few years ago, they had ants in the building...They were everywhere but they wouldn't go near those Peeps. Of course that just makes me wonder what's really in those things anyway??!!??

Quote:These are actuakky hatched those colors!
They inject a few drops of food coloring into the shell about 3 days before they hatch. If you wanted to do it yourself, just use KoolAid, no sugar, and rinse them in it. Of course, you have to use light colored chicks. Just pour it on them like you would give them a bath. NO DUNKING! let is stay on for a few moinutes and rinse the excess off.
And no, *I* did not eat the peeps I used for the phot shoot....my dog enjoyed them, tho!

They were probably wondering what the Peeps did to have their sides ripped off and if they could avoid that same fate!

I wouldn't recommend either, but there is a thread on chick recipes, there should be one for peep recipes!
