pekin bantam

    i dont own any yeet but i was wondering how to sex a pekin bantam when they are little?

    Well, the only thing I can say is that ours sparred at 3 or 4 days old. Then one would drag another by their foot etc. They turned out to be roos. Hope it helps a little!!

    We have a five week old and he started getting very red around the wattles and comb at about two weeks. He has always been extremly fiesty too [​IMG] He is so sweet but just likes to squak [​IMG]

    On cochins (aka pekins) the comb and wattles on the males develop at a young age, usually by 4 weeks.

    Sparring is not necsessarily an indicator of sex; both males and females will spar with either sex.

    comb and wattle, you can sorta tell on 4 week old chicks, but some rooster can be late bloomers.
