well I'm giving up on my pekins hatching there eggs. been couple of weeks of letting them build up there eggs, breaking 1 or 2 eggs but today went out and 4 were broke. so I guess she not going to go broody.

Everything Ive read says they are not good sitters because they were only bred for eating. I just hatched 8 out of 9 on my first try so they cant be that difficult to incubate yourself. I used a Little Giant -still air with no turner.

I agree, Pekins are not very good mothers. I have Pekins, Pekin mixes, and Runners for 8 years now and the Runners are the only ones who have ever gone broody. Every year one of the mixed girls gets a little broody, starts setting, but always loses interest a week or so in and abandons the nest.
