Duck nest​

My female pekin duck has a nest she has been sitting on for 3-4 weeks. Not quite sure. Well, today I saw her eat something out of her nest. She had 15 eggs. Now she only had 8. What happened to the other eggs? Did she eat them? She loves talking to me and then she will stand up and show me her eggs. When she did this I noticed two darker eggs ( I think they are dead). I’m attaching photos of the eggs I candle. I do have her in a private area where the other ducks can’t get to her.

They all look like the pictures I posted. I have 8. I know one is alive because I put the egg up to my ear and heard it quaking!
