During the winter I built a brand new pen for my peacocks. It is located literally 3 feet from our creek. Well it's been hot lately and bugs have been everywhere. They are driving the peacocks crazy. I'm worried that the peacocks will get sick or get diseases from the bugs. What should I do? The bugs are like those tiny little gnat things.

I would love to see Pic's, I don't think they would get sick but I don't know for sure. I would think the Bug's will lessen after a bit.

I know buffalo gnats can be a horrible problem here, killing entire flocks. We repel them with vanilla and water mixed in a spray bottle.

It doesn't sound like that is what you are fighting, but you may want to google them to see what gnats can do to birds.

Bug issues aside, what about flooding?
