One of my chicken has developed what I today learned that is called pendulous crop.
I got her a few month ago (she might be old), and from the very beginning I noticed her big crop. I ignored it simply because she was always happy and active as all my other chickens. A couple of weeks ago the crop grew bigger, and this week I noticed she is also slow in walking, her strides are not fluent, and also she is slower in eating. Today I saw her moving her neck from side to side.
The crop is more the a tennis ball size, rigid and stretched.
The chickens eat sprouted wheat, sorghum and corn along with vegetables. The have free access to soil.
I guess that I will need a vet here (which will take me some time to get), but can you recommend some immediate steps that can ease here situation?
