My poor girl has been like this for at least 3 weeks. We though she was end bound but clearly that isn't the issue.
She is eating and drinking. I am wondering if she is suffering and whether or not I need to cull her. I have never had to make that decision but I would hate to see her suffering.
Anyone have experience with this issue?

It is possible that she may be laying internally or have egg yolk peritonitis. That can cause the upright posture, penguin walking, and may cause reluctance to walk, abnormal eggs or laying, pain, poor appetite, and other symptoms. Offer her some chopped egg, tuna, and add probiotics and vitamins to help with her nutrition and immunity. Antibiotics sometimes are used, but don't always offer any longterm success. Google egg yolk peritonitis, and you will find many good articles. Also do a search on BYC, and there are numerous threads to read.
