Pepper - what kind of chicken is this?

    What kind of chicken is this 9-week old bird? Any guesses as to gender?

    Look at those red patches on his shoulder wing area. That my dear is 100% ROO!!!

    the comb seems really red to me for a pullet - and the tail feathers seem long - plus the red patches (there have been several threads that list red shoulder patches as being roo specific) - I'd say Roo..... but I'll hope I am wrong for you [​IMG]

    I'm sorry but that coloration is a male trait. He is a definitely a rooster. As for breed he is a OEGB mix. Looks to have possibly some Polish in his lineage.
