Percher's First Egg and Enforcer's a Girl!

    So far, the only layer of the group has been MIFChick, but a number of birds have been doing the squat. Percher, one of my EEs, was in the nest and when I checked beneath her -- nothing. Then as I was watching -- plop! Out came the egg. Her first egg! A nice green-blue one. I whisked it away.[​IMG]

    On another note, I've been wondering about my two BRs. You see, originally, they were sold as BSL which means if they were barred, they were roos. But they don't look like roos, except Defender beats up on the roo in the coop and her wattles were getting big. Yesterday, I walked into the coop and she gave me the egg squat! Well, she's just a dominant hen, but obviously a hen. I told my husband and his comment was: "Well, and you thought you couldn't get a date in high school..." [​IMG] [​IMG]
