Perches

We will be using 2x4s for perches, which angle is best? Do they perch on the 2” edge or the 4” edge? 2 perches how high and how far apart. I read that Orpington’s should jump far.

Shouldn’t. Hard to type with chickens in your lap.

That's a matter of tremendous debate. If you're making 2 perches you could put one wide side up and one narrow side up to see which your chickens prefer.

How high is also debatable. They need to at least be above the nestboxes.
