perfect food for quails?

what if the perfect food for quails and also a good amount of protein for them right now I am feeding the 16% protein the the brand is Nutrena layer feed what do you recommend

! Pleased you joined us! I think quail, being a game bird, require the game bird ration that is found in farm and ranch stores. It has a higher protein content. Plus, I don't layer feed is good for them - it's made for egg laying chickens. But....I don't have quail so don't take my word for it. Ask in the quail link below - they'll be able to tell you.
