Periwinkle, Blue Cochin, needs new boy name?

Do you think Periwinkle, my blue Cochin, needs a new name? Is she hiding saddle feathers under her wings? She ... he... is 16 weeks.

It's hard to tell because of the shredder gene but that's a lot of comb for a 16 week Pullet. Did (s)he have that red comb 2-3 weeks ago too?

The blue wing bars say male, but to me the comb and wattles are small for a cockerel of that age, but bright for a pullet.
I agree with @cstephens1987 I'd like to see pics from 3 weeks ago, if you have them.

Oh yes most definitely! The sister is not that red or big, but as young chicks they both feathered up faster than the 3rd and both had the same long pointy tail. The 3rd was slow to feather and had a bushy, floofy, round tail. He went to a breeder many weeks ago.

Can you get a closeup of the saddle area? It looks like all pullet feathers to me, from this angle, and male saddle feathers should be obvious and full by now.

This was 6 weeks ago with sister, at age 10 weeks. I will try for saddle feather pics; she is not easy to catch. They were a bit wet in this photo

Like I said before, I think the shredder gene it seems to have is going to make saddle feathers harder to distinguish. If that was him on the left three weeks ago it's a cockerel for sure

Moreso associated with lavenders usually. It causes all the scraggly feathers that don't hold their shape
