Question....if I dust them with Permethrin dust and they preen themselves.....will the dust hurt them or make them sick??

    Thanks BYC!

    Good question!

I dust mine with Permethrin...and none of mine have ever showed symptoms of illness...

Maybe some expert here can enlighten us as to what symptoms they may show if they ingest any of this...

I use Permethrin spray in the coop....I have never yet had any cause for concern...except for the disgusting mites that will invade my chickens and their coop...the mites are ( to me ) the greatest cause for concern...to the health of my chickens.

Birds shake themselves off after being dusted. Very little is ingested, effects are negligible.

Ok thank you! That question has been in my mind for a while. Every time I look at the dust I think...hhhhmmmmmmm......I wonder. Lol!
